“We decided to build completely new warehouse halls, as our previous facilities were no longer sufficient. We are growing rapidly, which made Radioshuttle™ a crucial part of the solution for us,” says Bjarne Ryttergaard Andersen, Warehouse Manager at Plum Safety.
More capacity within a smaller footprint
Plum Safety had a clear objective: to maximise capacity within the available floor space. Radioshuttle™ proved to be the solution that delivered a tangible difference – both in terms of pallet capacity and day-to-day operations.
“We can store significantly more goods in a smaller area. In the space we have here, there are 528 pallet locations within a very limited footprint, allowing us to keep a large volume of pallets on site.”
With Radioshuttle™, Plum Safety is able to utilise the height and depth of its racking system to the fullest. At the same time, the system automates pallet storage and retrieval, ensuring quick access to goods while improving both efficiency and safety within the warehouse.
“It allows us to consolidate everything in one place, with easy access. In fact, it is faster to unload a shuttle than to clear 11 pallet positions out on the warehouse floor,” Bjarne concludes.

“We are experiencing substantial growth. We have expanded as much as possible within the constraints of this site, but we still require additional capacity. If further physical expansion is not possible, I believe there will be an even greater need for additional Radioshuttles,” concludes Bjarne Ryttergaard Andersen.
