Kid Hemtex Makes Major Investment in Logistics Center

More Efficient Logistics and Shorter Lead Times

Kid Hemtex is making a major investment in its logistics center in Viared, just outside Borås. The new facility, which merges warehouse and office functions, has expanded to a remarkable 57,000 square meters after the most recent addition. The expansion, which began in February 2024, means that Kid Hemtex and its parent company, Kid ASA, are now consolidating their logistics operations under one roof. The facility will supply 300 stores across the Nordic and Baltic regions and support the companies’ growing e-commerce presence throughout Europe.

The new facility is a central component of Kid Hemtex’s strategy to streamline the supply chain and strengthen competitiveness. The expansion will increase capacity from the current 23,000 pallet spaces to a total of 49,000 by 2025. The goal is to house the entire product range in one location and reduce delivery times.

Tailored Solutions with High Safety Standards

To maximize both efficiency and safety, Kid Hemtex selected Omega pallet racking from EAB, featuring integrated mesh decking to ensure optimal sprinkler and fire protection performance. The facility is also equipped with specially designed shelving units and mesh shelves, perfectly suited for boxes and pick items.
